It offers a durable 70D ripstop floor, and ultra-breathable mesh upper, along with a handful of other thoughtful features like instant setup and double-wall breathability that make it friendlier than your average bivy. Packing down to less than 2 pounds and the width of a dinner plate, the Burrow offers a perfect balance of weight, durability, interior space, and speed.

The Improved Bed Net System (IBNS) was originally designed to fit securely onto a military cot with webbing and side release buckles on all four corners. After initial fielding, we were informed that Marines liked the product so much that they were deploying it in the field as well. In response, we ruggedized the design, creating the capability to add a rainfly. We have since delivered hundreds of thousands on contract. After yet another round of improvements, we are proud to re-introduce the Burrow™ IBNS with enhanced capability, more user friendly features, and improved parts and fittings. The Burrow’s instant deployment and cot compatibility make it an efficient, fast-access shelter to protect users from insects and a great shelter for medical patients in the field. It is EPA registered and has Permethrin bonded to the material for insect repellency. The Burrow is supported by a strong and ultra-light .134” diameter pultruded fiberglass rod which winds through the shelter, expanding it to its given shape. When the rolled up Burrow’s cinch strap is removed, the shelter is released and snaps into shape automatically. No assembly or set-up is required. Licensed under US Patent #6,672,323

Wolverine Rainfly Kit

The Wolverine Rainfly Kit can be added to the Burrow to create the Wolverine EBNS, our other contract heavy-hitter. The greatest feature of this rainfly is its spacious dual vestibules. The entry side door opens wide to allow easy entry, and the storage side door offers a wider vestibule for storing a full size pack with room leftover. With the common sense re-design of the Wolverine rainfly, we also decided to offer a common sense way to purchase it. Separately. The NSN for the full EBNS is still relevant, but now customers can purchase the Rainfly Kit on its own to pair with their existing Burrow.

Armadillo Fly Kit

The Armadillo Rainfly Kit was born from a request by the United States Marine Corp. A lighter rainfly solution was needed for the system, so we set out tailoring our original fly design to fit their need. We reduced the weight by about a third while maintaining the mil-spec toughness of the fly. The major difference between this rainfly and the Wolverine is the lack of vestibule space, regarded by the Marines as an expendable luxury. Internal loop attachments allow the rainfly to remain attached to the Burrow during storage, further decreasing setup time. This simplified configuration caught the attention of Special Forces users, and they became some of the first buyers of the Armadillo system. Licensed under US Patent # 7,559,335 B2
