My wife and I arrived at Cheaha State Park (Alabama) on a Friday evening. With her assistance, we had the tent secured to the ground and ready for use within 5-10 mins comfortably. We then rolled our air mattress in and inflated it, still having plenty of room for our belongings.
The gear loft is a great idea, I placed a small led solar light there along with a battery-powered fan to give us some extra air flow as well as opening the various roof vents. The whole weekend we were very comfortable in the tent. On Sunday, I packed the tent while she removed the rainfly and folded it for storage - SO EASY. This tent is great for those thinking of hitting the state park campgrounds on a weekend getaway.
I have had the wind creek for about 12 years. I called into get a new pole and a new fly. The first pole sent was too short, the next one sent was correct, but it broke while inserting it into the top ring. Expecting yet another pole, they sent me a brand-new tent, at no charge other than what I paid for the pole and fly. One door has been eliminated, which is good. The door style was improved, less zipper to fuss with, and the mesh and door both zip shut, whereas previous model door did not close at the bottom. The hooks on the fly straps have been changed to buckles! The fly clips onto the pole where before there were ties. The tote bag actually expands with clever velcro straps, so you can fit in your ground sheet, etc. Also, there are buckled cinch straps to compress and secure the tent. I know this is a 3 season tent, but zipped covers (inside) for the roof vents would be a big plus.
