I love Catoma products. I have currently purchased The Burrow net system as well as the Gopher tarp. I got the stakes with the tarp and I must say that I was a little disappointed that I got the seven inch stakes because the website refers to the 9 inch stakes as "standard". However, these stakes are truly awesome! They hold into the ground very well, are lightweight and even stealthy! They are dark colored, but also have a slight shiny tint so that they can be spotted in the foliage, I assume. The 7-inch stakes go really well with my stealth camping Poncho tarp kit, so I will end up buying the nine inch stakes to go with my gopher tarp for more support. I have noticed that you pay a little more for Catoma products, but it is pretty easy to see where the money goes. You get what you pay for. I do love Catoma products so far!

Best stakes ever! Light weight and can take the punishment of a few good wacks of a near by rock. Removing from the ground was easy, just twist while pulling. Wipe off excessive dirt, if needed, then stow away.

My husband and I hammock camp in the mountains of Pa. and use these stakes for our cover tarp. We’ve tried 6 different brands including the top titanium ones. These are the only stakes we can count on being able to insert deeply in hard, hard rocky ground. The twisting motion makes a huge difference. When you’re limited in site selection to two perfectly spaced trees, it’s great to know that your stakes will work anywhere. We do recommend either painting the top or applying bright colored duct tape to make them a little easier to see in dark conditions and against dark ground.
